Music with Lacey

"Music with Lacey" is founded on the solid research that proves that the early childhood years are the most important when it comes to musical development.

Children who participate in musical activities perform better in reading and math when they begin elementary school. Since playing, singing, and dancing to music increases both fine and gross motor skills, and helps develop hand-eye coordination, these children are better able to control their bodies. Those actively involved in music also tend to have higher self-esteem and are better at playing with others.

Therefore, it is important to provide age-appropriate opportunities rich in music and movement exploration. By bringing this musical enrichment and magic into the the classroom, the children are able to experience the joy of music in a safe, comfortable environment. Absorbing as much musical variety as possible in their early childhood is the foundation for their musical development. It is my goal to stimulate, encourage, and inspire this musical development in a fun, educational setting in order to give children a good foundation for future musical learning and deepen their enjoyment and love of music for the rest of their lives.
